Terms & Conditions

"Smart CCTV AI" is a trading name of Link Technology Limited, hereinafter referred to as Link Technology Limited.

Terms and Conditions - Business terms and conditions of sale (unless otherwise agreed in writing)

 

All orders accepted by Link Technology Limited (“the Vendor”) are subject to the following conditions, which shall govern the contract of sale. Acceptance of services or goods shall be deemed acceptance of these conditions. Any conflicting terms proposed by the purchaser are not accepted unless agreed in writing by a director of Link Technology Limited.

 

1. Payment and Price

(a) Prices quoted for goods or services are subject to adjustment in accordance with market conditions at the date of supply. Price lists do not constitute an offer.
(b) All invoices are payable on the date shown on the invoice. Payment must be made in sterling unless otherwise agreed in writing by a director.
(c) Overdue accounts will incur commercial interest at 5% above the Royal Bank of Scotland base rate, calculated daily.
(d) Subscriptions: Subscription fees for services are payable for the full contract term (typically 12–36 months unless otherwise stated). Subscriptions cannot be terminated early without full payment of the remaining balance.
(e) Hardware Sales: Payment for hardware is due in full prior to dispatch unless otherwise agreed.

 

2. Availability

The Vendor will use reasonable endeavours to meet estimated delivery or service commencement dates. These dates are indicative only and not of the essence of the contract. The Vendor shall not be liable for delays caused by factors beyond its control.
 

3. Property and Risk

Ownership of physical goods remains with the Vendor until full payment is received. For services, access rights are granted only for the duration of the subscription term and subject to full payment.
 

4. Variation

The Vendor reserves the right to make minor variations to goods or services without liability, provided such changes do not materially affect performance.
 

5. Claims

(a) Hardware claims for damage or shortages must be reported in writing within seven days of delivery.
(b) Service issues must be reported promptly in writing.
(c) Where third-party support applies, the purchaser agrees to follow the third-party’s resolution process.

6. Warranty

(a) Hardware supplied carries a 12-month return-to-base warranty unless otherwise agreed.
(b) Service-level commitments are defined in the relevant subscription agreement.
(c) The purchaser is responsible for incidental costs during warranty claims unless otherwise agreed.

 

7. Returns Policy

Hardware:

  • A 14-day return policy applies to physical goods (excluding servers and custom-built equipment). Goods must be unused, in original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.

  • Returns must be requested via info@smartcctv.ai before sending items back.

  • Certain items (custom products, sale items, gift cards) are non-returnable.

Services:

  • Subscriptions and consulting fees are non-refundable once work has commenced.

  • Early termination of subscriptions requires payment of all outstanding fees.
     

8. Repair Procedures

Hardware repairs follow the Vendor’s RMA process:
(a) Within warranty period.
(b) Return-to-base at purchaser’s cost.
(c) Fault confirmed: Vendor repairs and returns at its cost.
(d) No fault found: £40 administration fee plus carriage applies.

 

9. Limitation of Liability

The Vendor’s liability shall not exceed the total fees paid under the contract. The Vendor shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including data loss.
 

10. Law

This contract is governed by English law. If any clause is found unlawful, the remainder shall remain enforceable.
 

11. Online Accounts

The purchaser is responsible for managing authorised users and all orders placed under their account.
 

12. Glossary

  • Subscription: Ongoing service access for a fixed term (typically 12–36 months).

  • Setup Fee: One-off charge for initial configuration.

  • Consulting Fee: One-off charge for advisory services.

  • Goods: Physical hardware supplied under these terms.
